covid-19

safety measures

We’ve been working hard to ensure we can run our workshops safely. We want to create the best and safest environment for every Prologue member to feel secure and be able to play, grow and create. Below are some of the measures we’ve put in place in order to allow you to join us along with all the things you can do to help.

What we’re doing

  • Small group sizes-we’re limiting group sizes to 15 in order to minimise the number of different people each young person comes into contact with. Our 18-25 group is limited to 6 members in accordance with activities for young adults.

  • Timings-we’ve timetabled sessions to minimise mixing beyond your assigned groups and allow us time for rigorous cleaning.

  • Cleaning- we will be cleaning touch points during sessions and will conduct a thorough cleaning of all areas and shared resources in-between groups.

  • Hand washing-we are providing hand sanitiser and encouraging hand-washing for all children and young people upon arrival and before leaving.

  • Catch It, Bin It, Kill It-we are providing tissues and promoting ‘Catch It, Bin It, Kill It’ at all times.

  • Ventilation-we are opening windows and doors (where safe and possible to do so), in order to maintain a well-ventilated space.

  • Social Distancing-currently we are only using games, exercises and activities where a minimum social distance of 2m can be maintained.

  • Positioning-if any activity involves singing or speaking loudly, we will position young people back-to-back or side-to side in order to minimise transmission through aerosol spray.

  • Providing personal resources- where necessary, we will provide young people with a personal file, paper and pen for them to use throughout the term for any necessary activities.

  • Toilets-children must only go to the toilet one-by-one (taken by an adult where necessary) and toilets will be cleaned regularly.

  • Attendance records- we are keeping up to date attendance records of groups and the staff they work with in order to aid NHS Track and Test if needed. All records kept will be in accordance with our data protection policy.

  • Risk Assessment- we have carried out a Covid-19 risk assessment which we will review and update regularly

What we need you to do

  • Arrive on time. It is essential that you arrive no more than 5 minutes before your class start time, and if picking up, please arrive no more than 5 minutes before the session’s end time.  Please do not be late! It is vital we remain punctual to ensure no mixing between different groups.

  • Parents to stay outside the venue - except in case of an emergency parents and carers should stay outside the venue at drop off and pick up.

  • Social Distancing outside the venue - when waiting for a session to start or to collect your child, please do not group outside the entrance to the venue.  Please be aware of others needs and respect social distancing.

  • Transport-where possible you or your child should walk, cycle or get dropped off by a member of your household in a private vehicle.  Do not car share at this time.

  • Hand washing-everyone attending our sessions should wash their hands thoroughly for 20 seconds upon arrival, or use the hand-sanitiser provided, and then repeat before leaving.

  • Water- please bring your own bottle of water to prevent the need to use kitchen facilities at the venue.

  • Bring only what you need-please limit the amount of items you or your child brings to each session. Keep it to essentials such as hats, coats, phones, water, bags, etc.

  • Face coverings-you or your child is not required to wear face coverings whilst with us, but may do so if they wish.

  • Symptoms-If you or anyone in your household exhibit any of the symptoms of Coronavirus YOU MUST NOT ATTEND.  Please follow the current government guidance on self-isolation and testing. If you test positive for Coronavirus please inform us as soon as possible and contact NHS Track and Trace.
